Bed & Breakfast on a working Lake District farm
High Loanthwaite is a working hill farm overlooking the village of Hawkshead. It was once owned by Beatrix Potter who left it to the National Trust and it is now farmed by Mr & Mrs Hadwin.

There are uninterrupted views of delightful countryside all round, with Hawkshead less that a mile away and Ambleside four miles.
Cattle and sheep are reared at the farm.
The farmhouse is several centuries old and has retained its character, with exposed beams and panelled walls. The breakfast/sitting room has an open log fire, lit when nights draw in. A full English breakfast is served, with vegetarian alternative.
Two bedrooms are available for guests, a double and a family or twin room, both with en-suite facilities, colour television and tea making facilities
We are open all year. Terms are from £28 per person per night, with reduction for children under 11 years sharing the family room. We are a non-smoking house.
