| Bed & Breakfast on a working Lake District farm |
 | High Loanthwaite is a working hill farm overlooking the village of Hawkshead. It was once owned by Beatrix Potter who left it to the National Trust and it is now farmed by Mr & Mrs Hadwin.
There are uninterrupted views of delightful countryside all round, with Hawkshead less that a mile away and Ambleside four miles. Cattle and sheep are reared at the farm. |
The farmhouse is several centuries old and has retained its character, with exposed beams and panelled walls. The breakfast/sitting room has an open log fire, lit when nights draw in. A full English breakfast is served, with vegetarian alternative.
