	Stepping Stones is beautiful historic Lakeland house in an idyllic peaceful situation by the river Rothay, about one mile from Ambleside. It has uninterrupted views of open country side and fell. The house was owned for 100 years by the Wordsworth family. There are large gardens and ample private parking. Within 10 minutes walk is lovely Rydal Water and the local pub.

The bedrooms have period furnishings, also tv, seating area, tea/coffee making, radio and hairdryers, with en-suite facilities. There are two double rooms and one with a double and single bed. A full English breakfast is served, with vegetarian alternative. The dining room has an open log fire.
We are open all year. Terms are from £35 per person per night, according to room and season. We are a non-smoking house.
