Town Head Farm, built around 1688, is a delightful working farm house. It is situated just north of Grasmere village off Dunmail Raise, with superb uninterrupted views of Grasmere valley and the surrounding fells. The accommodation has all modern amenities but retains its essential period character, with beamed ceilings and traditional furnishings.

The house is centrally heated. Guests have their own lounge/breakfast room which retains all its historic features. Full English breakfast is served with light or vegetarian alternatives.
There is ample parking, and bike storage.


There is one double bedded room and one twin.

The view from the house is superb. Tariff - B&B from £26 per person per night, open all year. Children over 12 are welcome, but we regret no dogs. The house is non-smoking.
