| This very attractive accommodation is part of the ancient Ambleside Hall at How Head, just above the modern town centre. The hall, at least four centuries old, is now divided into several residences of great character and this part of it has been converted to make a charming ground floor flat for self-catering, with a small garden, retaining most original features, including flag floors and ceiling timbers. It is warm, cosy and has modern fixtures and appliances without losing its essentially rustic character. It makes a perfect retreat for two/three, away from the town centre bustle in a quiet corner of its own, but only three minutes walk from pubs and shops (two minutes from the ever-popular Golden Rule). The local owner lives in the adjacent premises and is normally available to help with advice and information. There is parking for one car. | |

Accommodation and furnishing is of a high standard and the flat is centrally heated. The sitting/dining room has an inviting and genuine old world atmosphere and is equipped with comfy chairs, rugs and a gas fired coal-effect fire if needed. There is colour television. |
The separate kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and all necessary equipment, together with breakfast bar and stools. |  |

There is one double bedroom, plus bathroom with bath, shower and WC. A single bed is in the lounge. All linen is supplied and all fuel and power is included. |
