The Old Vicarage is a family-run 15 bedroom property which goes beyond ‘normal’ bed and breakfast. With our indoor heated swimming pool, hot tub and sauna you’ll be relaxing whatever the weather, and if the sun is shining you can sit at our extensive terrace area and take in the fell views. Coffee and a good book are optional [we also have wi-fi], while you banish your husband / wife / partner / friend to explore Ambleside town centre which is only 2 minutes walk away. The 15 ensuite rooms are all four star rated and vary in size, style and views. Our newer rooms have a contemporary slant, while we still cater for the traditionalists among you in our spacious Victorian House.

CROW HOW COUNTRY HOUSE Town outskirts
Just outside Ambleside on the Rydal Road, Crow How Country House is peacefully set in its own beautiful grounds, alongside Rydal Farm. Nestling in a stunning rural setting in the historic Rydal Valley this grand Victorian building was built as a farm house in 1848 from the stones of ancient Rydal Hall, before being converted into a Country House Hotel in the early 1930’s. The house offers quality Bed & Breakfast accommodation in spacious surroundings.
The house is open all year. Nine rooms are available – 8 doubles and one twin/triple, all with good views of the surrounding valley and fells. All bedrooms have en suite facilities, colour televisions and hospitality trays.

Park House is a fine Victorian residence which has been carefully upgraded and modernised. It is warm, comfortable and has elegant interiors decorated to a high standard. The house is in an ideal position in the town centre, with uninterrupted views across parkland to the fells beyond. It is only 2 minutes walk from buses, shops, pubs and cafés. There is private parking or parking by permit supplied. We have four en-suite double rooms each with tasteful luxury furnishings, also two single rooms. All rooms are fully equipped for the comfort of our guests, including colour tv, DVD player, tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities, hairdryers, and wireless broadband connection.
