An Elegant Victorian Lakeland Townhouse set within the heart of the Lake District, World Heritage site in the centre of the picturesque village of Ambleside, Melrose Guest House is just 10 minutes walk from Lake Windermere with its steamer cruises and water leisure activities and is the starting point for many popular walks and hikes. We are conveniently located for transport links and walking distance of the many restaurants, bars and cafes in Ambleside.

Of the eight stylish rooms at Melrose some feature scenic Fell views. All rooms have smart flat screen TVs, well stocked hospitality trays,  tea/coffee making facilities, and en-suite bathrooms (single room has private bathroom) with luxury toiletries.
Free WiFi is available throughout the Guest House.

Free parking is available for all rooms which is a two minute walk from the Guest House. We are also able to provide secure storage for bikes and hard standing for motor bikes.

A home cooked full Cumbrian or vegetarian breakfast with locally sourced produce is provided including local jams and relishes. Lighter options are available for those who prefer. Special diets are catered for including vegan, vegetarian, gluten and lactose free.
